About Kevin Redpath

Kevin is an experienced film-maker, multi-media producer, writer and presenter.

After studying photography and cinematography at Salisbury College of Art, he went on to work on a variety of drama programmes and documentary strands for the BBC, TV South and the Central Office of Information.

He begun his career in the late 70s with the BBC, working with some outstanding Directors of Photography. Their passion for good lighting and composition made an abiding impression on him.  In the early 1980s he saw the arrival of 'portable' video cameras and recorders (which kept the oesteopathic profession in business for years) and started to produce films for a wide variety of charitable and corporate clients.  Determined not to become a lop-sided cameraman he eagerly embraced lighter camera technology.  He believes that at the heart of every good film is a story which needs to be told.

His background and range of industry contacts have enabled him to produce a wide-variety of films, DVDs, podcasts, websites and other digital productions for clients drawn from both the public and private sector.

He has a passion for deconstructing technology, in order to help businesses understand the business benefits of online video, blogging, website usability and email marketing. He is a regular speaker at technology workshops in Somerset.

All Kevin’s productions adhere to codes of practice for sustainable film-making and are carbon neutral.
