Over the past three years I have run tourism skills development seminars through Somerset and Cornwall, produced sixteen short promotional films about Somerset for Visit Somerset and have recently completed an etourism skills online seminar. I have a particular interest in helping tourism businesses use the web effectively. In the last two years I've produced films about the impact of Climate Change on SW Tourism businesses in general and a second film highlighting sustainable business practice amongst Somerset tourism businesses.
We have run 23 Visit Somerset seminars and over 300 delegates have attended. The feedback regarding Kevin's presentation has always been excellent - both in terms of his content and style of delivery. Most importantly for us, a very high percentage of attendees have made some significant changes to their business practices as a direct result of attending and listening to the presentations.

In 2007 I was commissioned to produce a short film highlighting the effectiveness of the Connecting Somerset project. The adoption of broadband and use of the internet by Somerset businesses was highlighted as among the best in Europe at a major convention organised by the European Commission in Brussels.
Praised for its ‘best practice’, Connecting Somerset, the county’s dedicated internet support and advice centre for owner/manager businesses, was among the Commission’s top award winners for its work on bridging the broadband gap in the county over the past two years. In May 2007 I was honoured to be invited to Brussels to present a paper on how Connecting Somerset had promoted the economic diversification of rural areas through investment in ICT and e-business.
